Consuming yogurt can reduce the amount of bacteria that causes bad breath.
Researchers from Japan’s Tsurumi University in Yokohama have studied the effect of natural sugar-free yoghurt on mouth odor and the presence of harmful bacteria in the mouth. They also found that the amount of hydrogen sulphide in the exhaled air decreased in 80% of respondents after six weeks of eating yogurt. In addition, in these patients, the condition of the gums was much better and the plaque was smaller than that of the group who did not eat yogurt. According to researchers, eating natural yogurt can reduce bad breath and the presence of harmful bacteria in the mouth.
